CANDY CANE BASKET

Updated: Dec 8, 2020

Welcome Digi Divas! I'm so glad you stopped by to spend sometime with me today. I'd like to share with you a NEW Holiday Digital Stamp Set with you- Candy Cane Basket. If you have not guessed by now I like baskets- new baskets, handmade baskets , old baskets, antique baskets, round reed, flower baskets, square, elongated....

We used to always hang candy canes on our Christmas tree when I was a child. It was always interesting to see how many of those peppermint wonders remained on the tree by Christmas Morning! Ahhh, I love the “Magic” of Christmas! SO- I combined two of my favorite Christmas items into a new Holiday Set! With a generous sprinkling of "Magic Christmas Cookie Dust" and some invaluable assistance from my dear friend Donna Ellis- we now have Candy Cane Basket Digi Set.

Come along as I walk you through this NEW card.

Using Candy Cane Basket-3360J Digi Stamp Set I sized the basket image

2-1/4"x3" and added packages. Copied and pasted in upper right corner. Printed and colored with Copic® Markers. The list of colors listed above.

I fussy cut the image in the upper corner. The main image I centered from left to right in the Wyse® Circle Scalloped Die, hold up to light and on reverse side mark half way of circle. Run through your die cut machine to the marks. Re-position the die and bring down on image about one scallop. Run through your die machine to the marks.

Cut (4) four Tonic® - Holly Bouquet Die, (2) of the Forest Green and (2) of a lighter green from the scrap. I snipped the holly into 4-5 pieces and weaved in and out of the scallops around the image as shown. Adhere with Dimensional® Glue.

I then weaved the red ribbon through the scallops around the main image as shown.

Die a bow at the bottom.

Using Liquid Pearls® - Rouge and place small dots randomly on the green as berries. Let Dry.

Adhere foam tape to the backside of the image/ holly oval.

I cut a 7"x10" Core dinations® - Forest Green for a cardbase , score and fold at 5" on the 10" side.

Cut the BoBunny® - Elf Magic Chorus to a

4-5/8" x 6-5/8" rectangle and apply Versa Magic®- Spanish Olive along the edges. Adhere the Elf Magic Chorus with tear-ific tape centered on the front of the Green cardbase with the fold on the left.

Adhere the Image /Holly oval about 1/2" from the Top with the Foam Tape as shown here.

Using Spellbinders® - A2 Devine Eloquence® Label Die and position the sentiment to cut the first half. Run through your Die machine 1/2 the way through. Pull out and repeat for the second half. Apply Versa Magic®- Spanish Olive along the edges as shown. Adhere the sentiment with foam tape centered at the bottom portion of the card as shown.
