Candy Cane Card

Welcome Digi divas! I am so glad you stopped by. This will be a sweet journey featuring my new Candy Cane Digital Stamp Set. Are you ready for some Christmas Card crafting fun? Grab a peppermint stick and here we go...


Suggested card size - 5"x7" Z-fold


MATERIALS LIST: COPIC® MARKERS:

5035J- Candy Cane Digital Stamp Set C1, C3 - Candy Cane

Hammermill® 100 lb. White Coverstock R05, R24, R27 - Berries

The Paper Studio® Happy Holidays Pad R14, R17, R29, R39 - Bow

Red & White Candy Stripe - My Stash R14, R17, R29 - Candy Cane

2 Green Dotted Cardstock - My Stash Yg61, Yg63, Yg67 - Holly

5"x7" Z-Fold Cardbase

Liquid Pearls® - Rouge

WeR® 1/4" Corner Chomper

EZ-Tear® Tape


To start this sweet treat creation you will need, 5035J - Candy Cane Digital Stamp Set. Divide the page into halves; Size the Candy Cane to 3-1/2" x 3-3/4" and place on one half of the page. Select a sentiment and size to 2-3/4". Place separately or align and over lap a small bit at the bottom of the Candy Cane.


Print on Hammermill® 100 lb. White Coverstock.





Color as desired.








I chose to use COPIC® markers. A full list of the colors are listed above .





Fussy cut the Candy Cane image.










You will need a 5"x7" Z-Fold cardbase, three complimentary papers. I chose: The Paper Studio® Happy Holidays Pad/ Candy canes, Red & White Candy Stripe cardstock from my stash, and a 2 Green Dotted Cardstock from my stash.


Cut The Paper Studio® Happy Holidays Pad/ Candy Canes to 3-1/2"x 7" rectangle and adhere to the front first panel as shown.











Cut the 2 Green Dotted Cardstock to a 2-1/2"x7" rectangle and adhere to the front flap as shown.



Cut the Red & White Candy Stripe to a 2"x7" rectangle and adhere to the interior pane. as shown.










Apply EZ-Tear® Tape to the backside of the fussy cut image and the sentiment.




Carefully adhere the Candy Cane and sentiment to the front flap. Be careful not to adhere to the other panels.










Apply three dollops of Liquid Pearls® -Rouge on the upper right and the lower left of the front flap as shown. Let Dry.



OPTIONAL: Using the scraps from the card, cut a few strips, arrange and adhere with a name plaque to the backside of the cardbase as shown.
