Christmas Deer Card

Welcome Digi Divas! Well, it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas- cards at least! I'm still waiting for the first snow fall this season- to watch on television. Pensacola is definitely a NO SNOW zone. I have five New Holiday Digi Sets for November/December! Christmas Deer is one of them- I made this snowy card using this new Holiday Digi Set. Warm up your hot cocoa (don't forget the little marshmallows) and let's craft!

Suggested card size is 7"x5"

To start this Holiday Greeting you will need my NEW 5090J- Christmas Deer Digital

Stamp Set and 723J- Tree Scene Digital

Stamp Set. This scene is a layering technique.

* Size (3) Tree Scene trees to a maximum of 1-3/4"x2-1/2". Vary in sizes and group together.

* Size tree with birds 2-1/8"x4-1/8"; copy and Mirror. Place one on each side of the Tree Scene. Maximum width 5-1/8".

* Size the Deer 2-1/8"x2-1/8" and arrange

between the two end trees as shown.

Print on Hammermill® 100lb White Coverstock.

Color as desired. I chose to use Copic® Markers.

A full list of the Copic® colors is listed above.

This will be a two part die cut. Fussy cut a little around the lowest tree snow drift. I cut to the under part of the bird's wing to around the tree snowdrift and up the outside of the tree trunk about the same height as the wing as shown. Slide the 3rd largest Marianne® Double Notched Corner Rectangle Dies under the tree flap you just cut. Run through the Big Shot®. BE SURE TO NOT RUN THE FULL DIE.

Stop at 3/4 ways.

Slide the die over to the edge of the image and make sure you align the die with the die cut you just made.

Run through the Big Shot®. BE SURE TO NOT RUN THE FULL DIE. Stop at 3/4 ways.

Use B000 and B00 and a flicking motion around the edge color in some sky as shown.

You will need a 7"x5" cardbase, cut a 7"x5" TCP Studio® - Winter Blues rectangle and apply Nuvo Glitter Drops® - White Blizzard to the snow areas.

I used a very fine paint brush to apply in small areas.

LET DRY.

Center and adhere the image to the front side of the TCP Studio® - Winter Blues rectangle and now would be a good time to apply any Brad Snowflakes.

Adhere the cardfront panel to the 7"x5" cardbase.

Randomly adhere the varying sized iridescent sequin snowflakes to the card front as shown.

As an OPTION I use a couple of the scrap papers used to make the card. I added a scrap of White Glitter paper, a name plaque and a couple of Snowflake sequins to the backside of the cardbase. LET DRY!

What a mesmerizing snow scene of "Peace on Earth" card. I am so pleased you came along on my flurry of a creation today. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did! Share your creation with us at Jan's Digi Blog Challenge for twice the chance to WIN a $6. shop credit.
