Dog Days Birthday Card

Hello Digi Divas! Today I have created a Birthday Wish Card for the Dog Lover in your life using my new Dog Days of Summer Digi Set. Our dachshund is wagging his tail because he is enjoying his birthday treat! If you are like me, I raided my stash for this card. I'm sure if your scrap pile is as large as mine, you may have similar papers in your stash as well. Are you ready? Here we go... Most of the papers used are from my scrap paper stash.

Suggested card size: 5"x7"

MATERIALS LIST: COPIC® MARKERS:

5025J- Dog Days of Summer Digi Set B34, B37 - Glasses

Hammermill® White 100lb. Coverstock E00, E01 - Ice Cream

American Crafts® - Cake Time N3, N5, N6, N8, N9 - Dog

Paper Pizazz® - Confetti R02, R81, R83 - Strawberry Ice Cream

Party Banners R14, R17 - Glasses Frame

Blue Solid Core Cardstock R81, R83, R85 - Tongue

Black Solid Core W3 - Shadow & Wag

Chartreuse Scrap Y21, YR20, YR23 - Cone

5"x7" cardbase Y32, E07, E09 - Paws

Tonic® Essential Oval Nesting Dies

Happy Easter

Happy Birthday

Tag Stitched® Banner Dies

Nuvo® Crystal Glaze

EZ-Tear® Tape

For this card I am using the second dog on the sheet from "Dog Days". For those that are starting fresh, using 5025J-Dog DaysDigital Stamp Set size the dog to

3-1/2"x3-3/4". Select a sentiment.

Print on Hammermill® White 100lb. Coverstock.

Color as desired.

I chose to use COPIC® Markers. Full list of colors listed above.

Cut along cone and drip. Slide the largest Tonic® Essential Oval Nesting Die under the cone and drip.

Adjust and run through the Big Shot®.

Trace around the largest oval die on the

Blue Solid Core Cardstock and fussy cut.

Fussy cut some Party Banner flags. Center and adhere the dog image to the blue oval.

Apply Nuvo® Crystal Glaze to the Sunglass Lenses. Let Dry.

Draw a diagonal line and fussy cut along line and around the cake tops using American Crafts® - Cake Time.

Cut a 4-3/4"x6-3/4" Rectangle of Paper Pizazz® - Confetti and adhere some of the Party Banners at an angle along the top half of the Confetti.

Center and adhere the Confetti Rectangle to a 5"x7" rectangle and adhere the American Crafts® - Cake Time tri-angle across the lower half. Trim off the excess. Adhere card front to 5"x7" cardbase.

I used a Happy Easter Die to cut 3 "Happy" and a small "Happy Birthday" for 2 Birthdays. Glued them offset and adhered to the upper left of card.

Using the Tag Stitched Banner Die, cut the sentiment. On a piece of Black cardstock,

trace around the Tag Stitched Banner Die

and fussy cut. Center the sentiment on the Black fussy cut and adhere. Adhere to the lower part of the cardbase as shown.

OPTIONAL: I adhered several extra pieces I had from the papers I had used and arranged on the backside of the card with a name plaque.

After seeing the card put together, I chose to color the vanilla ice cream to strawberry! LOL!

Using R01, R81, R83 our handsome Pup is treated to strawberry ice cream.
