Dog Days Card

Welcome Digi Divas! I am excited to share with you today my Dog Days of Summer Digi Set- new and on sale for August. I have the cutest little dachshund enjoying his icecream cone trying to keep cool during the hot days of August!

Suggested card size: 5" x 7"

Hammermill® 100lb. White Coverstock E00, E01 - Ice Cream

Recollections® - Crimson Pad N3, N5, N6, N8, N9 - Dog

Black solid Core Cardstock R14, R17 - Glasses Frame

American Crafts® - I Love My Dog R81, R83, R85 - Tongue

The Paper Studio® - Black & White Paws W3 - Shadow & Wag

5"x7" Cardbase Y21, YR20, YR23 - Cone

WeR® Nesting Circle Dies Y32, E07, E09 - Paws

Tag Stitched® Banner Dies

Liquid Pearls® - Black Onyx

To start this journey, you will need 5025J-

Dog Days of Summer Digital Stamp Set. Whether you use the pre-colored or color your own image; you will need to divide

your page into halves mentally. Size the image to 3-1/2" x 3-3/4". I added a couple of ovals under the dog's paws for ice cream melt.

Select a sentiment and place in the lower

part of the page as shown.

Print on Hammermill® 100lb. White Coverstock.

Color as desired...

I chose to use COPIC® markers to color mine.

A complete list of colors are listed above. (A

great image to fine tune your flicking motion.)

To cut out the image, fussy cut along the lower edge as shown. Using WeR® Nesting Circle Dies I used the 3-3/4" circle die to slide under the cone fussy cut and positioned around the dog's head as desired. Run through the Big Shot®.

Using the next two (2) dies up, cut a red circle

(Recollections® - Crimson Pad) and a black circle (Black solid Core Cardstock) to stack and adhere behind the main image.

I found some perfect papers in my stash...

Using (Recollections® - Crimson Pad) cut

a 5"x7" rectangle for the card front. Using

a (Black solid Core Cardstock) cut a

3"x6-3/4" rectangle and a 4"x2" rectangle.

Using American Crafts® - I Love My Dog

cut a 2-3/4"x6-1/2" rectangle. Using the

Paper Studio® - Black & White Paws cut

a 3-7/8"x1-3/4" rectangle.

Assemble the rectangles as shown and adhere to the front of the 5"x7" cardbase with the fold on the left.

Adhere the main image to the front of the cardbase centered from left to right and about

7/8" from the top of the card.

Cut out your sentiment using Tag Stitched Banner Die. Lay the die on some (Recollections® - Crimson Pad) and trace around the outside of the die. Fussy cut and adhere the sentiment centered on the red. Adhere to the card front as shown. Apply Liquid Pearls® - Black Onyx as shown to embellish the front.

OPTIONALLY: Using some of the extra

cardstock. Cut and assemble some rectangles on the backside of the card, arrange and add your name plaque to finish your sweet creation.
