Dogwood Blooms Card

Updated: Mar 16

Good morning, Digi Divas! Thanks for stopping in today. I am so excited and honored to be a Guest Designer for Beautiful Blossoms Challenge. I would like to share my Dogwood Blooms Digi Set that I entered in their March Challenge! Are you ready to card craft? Here we go...

Suggested card size: 5"x7"

MATERIALS LIST: COPIC® MARKERS:

#4080J - Dogwood Blooms Digita! Stamp Set E61, E63, E67, Multiliner Olive

Hammermill® White 100lb. Coverstock E31, E33, E35, Multiliner Brown

Colorbok® Mint Stripe W1

5"x7" Cardbase YG00, RV00, R59

Amazon® Flower Edge Embossing Metal Die

Michaels® Pearl Stickers-Sage

VersaMagic® Aloe Vera

Sentiment from my stash

Foam® Tape

EZ-Tear® Tape

To start this beautiful Dogwood Blooms creation, divide your page into halves; size the Dogwood branch image to 6"x3-3/4". Copy and paste, mirror reverse and white out the bottom portion of the reverse image and move to the back of the layer as shown.

Print on Hammermill® White 100lb. Coverstock.

Cut the page in half. Color as desired, I chose

to color mine with Copic® Markers.

A list of the Copic® colors is above.

I measured 1-1/4" from the edge of the half page or

just past the leaf shadow and marked straight line down the page.

Using an Amazon® Flower Edge Embossing Metal Die to cut the edge of the card front.

NOTE: I used a border die. I found that I used my border dies more often after I shaved the back cutting edge off using a Dremel® Tool.

Align the die along the marks along the edge of the card edge as shown. Roll into the Big Shot®. STOP before you get to the end of the die.

Move the die, align along the marks and fit the top

of the die into the holes. Roll into the Big Shot® from

the bottom towards the middle. STOP before you get to the end of the die.

Trim the card front image to 4-1/2"x7" as shown.

Trim the cardbase front flap 1".

Cut a 1-1/2" strip of the Colorbok ® Mint Stripe

and adhere along the edge of the card interior

as shown.

Align the image and adhere to the front flap of the cardbase as shown.

Adhere the next to smallest Michaels® Pearl Stickers-Sage along the dotted line under each

group of three teardrops as shown.

Adhere the smallest Michaels® Pearl Stickers-Sage along the dotted line between each of the larger Pearl stickers as shown.

Randomly adhere the last four smallest Pearl stickers.

OPTIONAL: Using the extra strip of the Mint Stripe,

a scrap of Guacamole and a name plaque edged

with VersaMagic® Aloe Vera arrange and adhere

to the backside of the cardbase.

Add a sentiment of your choosing from your stash, edge with VersaMagic® Aloe Vera and adhere to the frontside of the cardbase using Foam® Tape as shown. I made 2 cards that are exactly the same except for the sentiments I used- Thinking of You and Thank You.

Wasn't that a wonderful card crafting exercise to start your day?
