Easter Greetings Card

Updated: Mar 24, 2022

Greetings Digi Divas! Today I am excited to share a playful creation using pieces from three of my Easter Digi Sets. I created this "chocolatey" card to celebrate! I used the chocolate bunny from my new Easter Jonquils Digi Set , the eggs from my new Easter Hippity Hop Digi Set and the jelly beans from Little Lambkin Digi Set. These sets are on sale for March. Well, the official First Day of Spring is March 20th and Easter is April 17th this year.

This evening I wanted to have a little Easter card crafting FUN so I decided to put pieces of a few of my Easter sets together. I found a card base in my Silhouette Cameo® cut files that with a few adjustments might be just right. So, I pulled up #a2 Label Fancy Fold card and stretched the base to 5"x7". I then ungrouped the parts, separating the shapes into color groups. The tab I deleted several points to shorten and get rid of the curve and point (see diagram). Cut 1 Green Base, 2 Pink Rectangles, 2 white fancy edged, 1 pink tab and 1 white smaller tab.

I sized the eggs from the 3530J Easter Hippity Hop Digital Stamp Set to 1-3/4"x2-1/4". I sized (2) two of the Chocolate Rabbits to 2"x3-1/4" from the 3520J Easter Jonquils Digital Stamp Set. From the 3270J Little Lambkin Digital Stamp Set I sized a number of the Jelly Beans to 5/8".

Print onto Hammermill® 100 lb White Coverstock. Color as desired. I chose to use Copic® Markers.

Once I had all the parts colored I fussy cut them out so all I had to do is assemble my card.

On one of the rabbits I drew a partial circle on his ears towards the top as a guide. I then used a hole punch along that line to give the effect that his ears have been "bitten" off.

Apply Nuvo® Crystal Drops to the Jelly Beans.

Let Dry.

Tie a Satin Ribbon bow around each rabbit's neck.

Adhere one of the Pink 4-1/2"x6-1/2" rectangles inside the cardbase centered and one on the backside of the cardbase.

Edge the White Fancy pieces using VersaMagic®-Pixie Dust. Adhere one of the Fancy White pieces on the front flap centered and one centered on the pink inside the cardbase.

Adhere the Pink tab to the green flap and the white tab to the pink and green flap.

Using the io® Easter Greetings Die and pink cardstock

run through the Big Shot®.

Adhere the Easter nestled in the curves of the upper part of the White Fancy piece on the front.

Adhere the Greetings below the Easter lining up the T with the slant of Easter as shown.

Adhere some of the Easter Grass in small pieces to the bottom 1/3 of the White Fancy piece.

Adhere two of the eggs on the Easter Grass as to not be covered by the flap. As shown.

Adhere the Jelly Beans randomly in the Easter Grass and around the eggs.

Adhere the third egg and one of chocolate bunny to the flap as shown. I also added a couple of Jelly Beans.

I traced around the Flap, Bunny and Egg on the a piece of green and fussy cut. Adhered to the backside of the flap.

Adhere the Bunny missing his ears on the interior.

OPTIONAL: I adhered a couple of scrap strips of Green and Pink on the back of the card with a name plaque and a few Jelly Beans. That makes the card ready to personalize if you wish.

OK! I hope you enjoyed creating this whimsical Easter Card as much as I did! Thanks for stopping by. Come back often- I have more card tutorials and new Digi Sets coming soon.
