Fall PEAR-Fection

Updated: Sep 14, 2020

Good Morning Digi Divas everywhere!

As always- thank you for stopping in. Today I would like to share with you my NEW for September stamp set Fall PEAR-fection Digital Stamp Set #3330J. Growing up in Missouri we had a neighbor that grew fruit trees. Butch grew apples, pears, and plums. Half the neighborhood had pies and jams from those few trees. Some years the branches were so heavy with fruit we would have to cut the branches to keep them from splitting. I thought of this and decided to draw some branches in an antique piece of pottery to share with you. Join me as I make two (2) simple cards using my Fall PEAR-fection Digi Set! Hope you will be "fruitfully" inspired....

MATERIALS LIST:

Barn Red Cardstock 5"x7" E04, E07, E08, E09

American Crafts® New Day Burlap covered Cardstock E40, E41, E42, E43

White Hammermill® 100lb. Coverstock Y00, Y02

Foam Double sided Tape YR20, YR21, YR23, YR24

1/8" hole punch YG01, YG61, YG63, YG67

Spellbinders® - A2 Devine Eloquence Card Creator Die Set E55, E57, E59

1/8" Yellow ribbon - 10" T1, T3

1/8" Olive Ribbon - 10"

1/4" Rust Color ribbon - 6"

3 Reddish Pearls

Dimensional Glue®

1/8" Tear-ific Tape®

Ex-acto® Knife

To start our card for today, I sized the main image to 3"x5" about 1-1/2" from the top and the side of a landscape 8-1/2"x11" layout. I then stacked the (2) smaller pears and sized to 3/4" and placed to the right of the clay pottery. Select a sentiment and size to desired size and place about 1" from the bottom. Since I am also planning a second card I copied the two (2) smaller pears and pasted on the right half of the lay out and sized to 3"x2-1/2". Copied the top pear and pasted it about 1/2" from the top. Selected a sentiment and placed just under the two pear image. Printed on white Hammermill® 100lb Coverstock.

You can color as desired. I colored my images with Copic® Markers. A list of the colors I used are above. After coloring I cut the 8-1/2"x11" paper in half and laid the three pears to the side.

I then took the Largest of the Spellbinder's - A2 Devine Eloquence® Card Creator Die Set centered it around the pear image with the clay pottery, marked the places the the image extended beyond the inside opening with a lead pencil. Using an Ex-acto® knife to cut around those portions of the image in order to place on back side of the die to avoid cutting the image. Run through the Big shot. Using the long slender die center the sentiment and run through the Big Shot.

Cut the barn red cardstock to 5"x7", Cut the American Crafts® New Day Burlap covered cardstock to 4-3/4" x 6-3/4". Using Dimensional Glue® on the back side of the die cut image, center on the burlap about 1/2" from the top and both sides. Using Tear-ific® Tape I adhered the Rust ribbon across the bottom of the Burlap peace, again I did the same to the Yellow and the Olive Ribbons.

I cut the left end of the sentiment die cut off. Using the hole punch I punched two (2) holes and run the excess ribbon through and tied into a bow. Using Dimensional glue center under the main image.

Using foam double sided tape on the back side of the burlap center and adhere to the barn red cardstock to 5"x7". Using Tear-ific® Tape adhere the card front to a 5"x7" card base with the fold on the left side. As a final touch, using dimensional glue adhere three (3) reddish pearls to the upper right corner of the card. (If you can not find reddish pearls you can use Copic® ink #E08 to color 3 white pearls.)
