FOUR CHRISTMAS WREATH CARDS!

Updated: Feb 22, 2020

Good Day Digi Divas,

I would like to THANK All who have participated in our first Blog Challenge, and to those of you who haven't shared your creations, you still have time to join in on the FUN and WIN! A Special Thanks goes to my Design Team. They have contributed lovely creations of inspiration for the Holiday Season.

Today, I would like to share four (4) wreath Christmas cards I've made from my stash and scraps I have had piling up here in my happy place. I will give you a short tutorial for each, or you may have fun modifying using your scraps and stash. Come along!

First is the "Jingle Bell Wreath":

Suggested card size is 5-3/4"x5-3/4":

Cut a 10"x5-3/4" rectangle of white cardstock, score and fold at 5-3/4" to make the card base.

Cut the Paper Studio 12 days of Christmas plaid to 4-1/4"x5-3/4", adhere to the shorter flap on the base, with the fold on the left. Using Tonic's Happy Holidays die on DCWV Mercury Gold foil card stock and run through your Big Shot. Adhere about 1/2" from the bottom and centered on the plaid. Using Tonic's Holly Bouquet Die cut 2 wreaths; one of a dark green scrap and one of a lighter green scrap. Intertwine the two. Cut 2x's the length of Handmade Holiday Floral Garland needed to make a circle twisted together. Weave the paper wreath and the Handmade Holiday Floral Garland together. Using Nuvo Embellishment Mousse - Gold and apply a touch of it to each jingle bell. Adhere to the Plaid about 3/4" from the top and centered side to side. Make a double tied bow of Celebrate it gold 1/8" ribbon. Adhere as shown. Cut DCWV Stacked Wood cardstock to 2"x5-3/4", adhere to the right edge of the inside flap. That makes one card off my list ….. 30 more to go! 8-D Wasn't that Fun and Quick?

Second is the "White & Gold Wreath":

Suggested size of this card is 4-1/2"x6-1/4":

Cut a 9"x6-1/4" white rectangle, score and fold at 4-1/2" to make your card base. Cut DCWV Mercury Gold Foil Cardstock to 4-1/2"x6-1/4" rectangle and adhere to the card base with the fold on the left. Cut a White rectangle of cardstock 4"x5-3/4", moisten the back of the cardstock and place in Darice Snowflake Flourishes Embossing Folder, run through the Texture Boutique. Let Dry. Using Penny Black Creative Noel Die on Pizazz Paper Metallic Gold, run through Big Shot. Using up some of my White scraps I used MS-Spruce Branch punch and punched a pile of the branches. (Don't worry I save the extras for later...) Using a pencil lightly draw a circle on the embossed white rectangle. adhere centered on the Mercury Gold Foil. Using Dimensional glue I started gluing the branches along the circle until you have a circle of branches. Shown Above.

Adhere the sentiment "Noel" about 1/2" from lower right corner of card. Using Iridescent pull string ribbon (about 30") pull and tie knot. Cut off excess string and adhere to wreath as shown.

Apply Nuvo Crystal Drops Bright Gold as desired. Let dry. Tah-Dah! 29 to go on my list!

Third is the "Winter Deer Wreath":

Suggested card size is 5-3/4"x5-3/4":

Using my 935J Winter Deer Digi stamp set sized 3-1/2"x2-1/2", leaving about 2" of open space around the image. Print on white cardstock. Using a pencil lightly draw a square 5-3/8" with the image ear about center. Using EK Success decorative scissors, cut along the pencil line. Cut a white rectangle 5-3/4"x11-1/2", score and fold at 5-3/4" to make the card base. Cut a 5-3/4"x5-3/4" square of a solid core Red cardstock and adhere to the cardbase front. Fold on the left. Adhere the image centered on the red cardstock. With a pencil lightly draw a circle around the deer image. Using MS-Spruce Branch Punch and scraps of various shades of green, punch a pile of Branches. Using Dimensional glue adhere the branches on the circle line around the deer. Tie a bow of 1/4" Red Offray Merry Christmas Ribbon and adhere at the top of the wreath as shown. Apply Liquid Pearls Rouge on the wreath as desired. Apply Nuvo Glitter Drops-white blizzard to the snow on the image. Let Dry. Only 28 cards to go.....

For our Fourth and final card of the day I was so inspired by the Card my Design Team member Lynn showcased on our Blog Challenge, I am going to do my spin off....

Suggested card size is 5'x7":

Using 3070J Over the River Digi Stamp set, I used the wreath image. Sized it to 3"x3-1/2" and about 1-1/4" space around the image on Top and both sides and about an 1-1/2" on the bottom. Using a wave border die of scalloped lace positioned at the bottom, run through the Big Shot. Cut a 5"x11" white rectangle, score and fold at 7". Place the Die cut image on top of the short flap with the fold at the top; using a pencil lightly mark the spaces in the curve on the flap. Use scissors and cut along the marks on the short flap. Adhere the image to the flap and trim any excess around the edges. Found a scrap I liked in my pile, cut a rectangle 2-3/4"x5" and adhere to the long flap on inside of card as shown. Using Tonic Seasons Greetings Die on White cardstock run through the Big Shot, adhere on the decorative cardstock as shown. Using two of the extra spruce Branches from earlier adhered in the lower left corner. Adhered small red rhinestones from my stash at the spruce branches, between each of the scallopes of the flap and on the berries of the wreath as seen above. Wasn't that Fun! I hope you were inspired as I was with Lynn's card.

Four delightful cards for the day!
