Holiday Gingerbread - 3235J

Updated: Feb 22, 2020

Hello Digi Divas, Today I would like to share with you my NEW "Holiday Gingerbread" stamp set. Seems like the Holidays bring out my nostalgic side. I invite you to come along... It is 1983, my daughter was 3-1/2 yrs old and fell in love with the cover of a home magazine ( the name escapes me ) but she carried it around the house and slept with it like most kids would a toy. My husband and I thought it to be a bit odd, what should we do? We needed to do something but at the same time we remembered how we couldn't wait for the Sears Roebuck Catalog. So, we decided to attempt to make this elaborate Gingerbread House from the cover. (We must have been crazy!)

We put her to bed early one night and mixed the dough, the next night we baked and assembled. Three o'clock in the morning I am with a pair of tweezers putting little silver balls on this thing.... But that morning when she got up, the look on that face was SO worth it! Thirty-Five plus years later it is still one of her favorite memories. Here is two (2) cards I would like to share with you inspired by that memory.
