Peppermint Santa Twist Card

Hello Digi Divas! I am so glad you stopped by today for this "mint" of a tutorial. I could not resist making another Peppermint Santa Card- this time with a twist. This card was inspired by Monica- one of my DT member's card creations. Are you ready to do the Christmas Card Twist? Here we go!
Suggested card size: 5"x7"
MATERIALS LIST: COPIC® MARKERS
5030J - Peppermint Santa Digi Stamp Set C1, C3 - Candy Cane White
Hammermill® 100lb. White Coverstock C1, C3, C4 - Fur / beard
Neenah® Red Solid Core Cardstock E30, E33, E55, E57 - Pets
The Paper Studio® - Christmas Basics Pad E33, N1, N3 - Brush
5"x7" Cardbase E50, E51, E53, R02 - Face
Stitched Rectangle Double Notched Corner Die G12, G14, G16 - CandyCane/paint
Color Box® Mixed Media- School House Red N4, N6, N8 - Boots/Belt
The Ribbon Boutique® - 3/8" Navy/Red/White Ribbon R14, R29 - thin stripe Candy Cane
Buttons Galore & More® - Christmas W1, W3 - Shadow
Barely Art® Precision Glue YG61, YG63, YG66 - Gloves
EZ Tear® Tape Y02, YR23, YR24 - Buckles
To start this sweeter than candy journey you will need my 5030J- Peppermint Santa Digi Stamp Set. For the first twist I sized the image to 3-1/2"x4-3/4" and flipped / mirrored it. Added my sentiment to not exceed the 3-1/2" space.
Printed on Hammermill® 100lb. White Coverstock.
Color as desired. I chose to use Copic® Markers.
I chose to use Copic® Markers to color my image. A full list of colors used to color my image is disclosed above.
Once image is colored, center and secure die in place. I used a Marianne® Stitched Rectangle Double Notched Corner Die to cut out my image. Run through the Big Shot®.
Set the image to the side for now. Cut your card front parts as follows:
5"x7" Neenah® Red Solid Core Cardstock
4-3/4"x6-3/4" The Paper Studio® - Christmas Basics (Two tone stripe) and a
3/4"x5" candy canes.
Edge the Red and the striped rectangles using Color Box® Mixed Media- School House Red.
Center and adhere the 4-3/4"x6-3/4" The Paper Studio® - Christmas Basics Stripe to the 5"x7" Neenah® Red Solid Core Cardstock.
Adhere the 3/4"x5" Paper Studio® - candy canes along the bottom of the striped. Adhere one end of a 5" piece of The Ribbon Boutique® - 3/8" Navy/Red/White Ribbon on each backside of the red; aligned with the candy cane paper as shown...
Tie the other ends of the ribbon in a knot to the middle of the card front as shown.
Adhere the image to the striped about 3/8" from the top and about 1/2" from each side. Then adhere the panel to the front of the 5"x7" cardbase.
Embellish two (2) of the image corners using Buttons Galore & More® - Christmas
(Candy Pieces).
OPTIONAL - Arrange and adhere a couple of the scraps and a name plaque to the backside of the cardbase as shown.
