REMEMBER OUR VETERANS

Updated: Feb 22, 2020

Today I realized we have Veteran's Day right upon us. Living in a Military town like Pensacola I was inspired to create this card. I hope you have someone you love and want to remember for the sacrifices they made to preserve our freedoms. I invite you to come along on this short tutorial and pay tribute to our military.

Suggested card size is 5"x7".

Cut a 5"x12" rectangle of white cardstock, score and fold at 7" to create your card base. Using my 946J You're my Hero Digi Stamp Set I sized the main image to 2-3/4"x4-5/8" leaving about 2" around the image and printed. Colored with Copic markers. Using a pencil I lightly sketched my card front centering my image. 5" across the top, 4" down the right side 4-3/8" down the left side. To make my angled bottom, measured in 1-1/2" in from the right and 5-3/4" from top for the point. Then cut along those lines. Traced the image cut out on gold and cut. Adhered the Image to the gold about 1/4" from the bottom of the gold. Adhered the image to the short flap of the card base and trim any excess. Cut a 3"x3-1/4" striped paper and adhere to the lower left of the inside long flap. (Stripe up & down) Cut a 2"x3" piece of Blue and adhere to the lower right of the inside long flap. Using Spellbinders Sentiments Die on Gold, run through the Big Shot and adhere about 1/4" from the bottom on the inside long flap. Using Paws-itively Star border on White, run through the Big Shot I used the stars to glue randomly on the blue around the sentiment. Cut a 1"x2-1/4" rectangle of the Blue and pointed one end. Adhered three stars to the blue and adhered to the front of the card.

What a way to thank our military and let them know they are not forgotten.

I SALUTE YOU!

Happy crafting Divas and thank you for joining in on todays journey, Thank a veteran!

hugs,

Jan
