SANTA'S CHECKING HIS LIST 3186J Digi Stamp Set

Hello Digi Stamp Divas! Today I want to share with you a FUN set, "Santa's List 3186J" one of my NEW offerings for September. What a great way to start your holiday cards.

Suggested Card Size is 5x7 for today...

Using Digi Stamp set 3186J Santa's List printed on Hammermill 100lb. White Card Stock. Santa is sized at 3-1/4" x 4". Santa's Bag is sized to 2-1/2"x2-3/8". Print sentiment(s) of choice, I chose not to exceed 2". Color as desired... I chose COPICs:

FYI - I colored Santa's Bag first, and ONLY the bag. I then applied hand sanitizer to a small piece of burlap and worked it into the burlap. Applied the burlap over the Santa bag and pressed with the palm of my hand counting to 10.... and lift. Let Dry! This gives the bag a textured look.

Finish coloring the images as desired.

Optional: Print the colored Images and touch up is desired.

Cut the sheet part in order to separate Santa, the bag and the sentiments.

Center Santa in the next to largest Elizabeth Dies Fitted Ovals 1114 Die. (As shown)

Center the sentiment in the Spellbinders Divine Eloquence Die A2. (As shown)

You may choose what you like.

Run both Santa and sentiment through the Big Shot.

Set pieces to the side.

Cut a 4-1/2"x7" rectangle from the Paper Pizazz Specialty Metallic Gold Card Stock.

Center the Heartfelt Creations Decorative Oval Die on the Paper Pizazz Specialty Metallic Gold Card Stock. (As Shown)

Run Through the Big Shot.

Cut the Hammermill 100lb. white cover stock to 7"x10". Score at 5" and fold on score line. This is your card base.

Fussy cut Santa's Bag. Run a black marker around the outside edges EXCEPT on the doll's head and the candy cane.

Place the Santa bag on a coffee filter. Sparingly apply Dimensional Glue to the Teddy Bear. Avoid his eyes, inner ears and nose! Dump Amber Wheat Flocking on the bear. Press lightly, tap excess flocking into the coffee filter and pour back into the jar.

Apply Dimensional Glue to the toy horn in Santa's Bag. Let Dry.

Place Santa Image on a coffee filter. Apply Dimensional Glue to the white fur areas on Santa's cap, cuffs and lapel. Dump Twinkling Clouds Flocking onto Santa. Press lightly, tap excess flocking back into the coffee filter and pour back into the jar.

Apply two (2) dots of Dimensional glue on each of Santa's Spectacles. Let Dry.

Cut the s.e.i. Blaze Velvet Paper to 5"x7".

Apply 1/4" Tear-ific Tape to the back of the sheet of Velvet as shown.

Align the velvet on the front of the card base. The fold of the card base on the left. Hold firmly in place as peeling off the tape backing. Press into place.

This is now your base for the front of your card.

Apply Dimensional Glue to the back of the Gold Decorative Oval that you die cut previously. Center align side by side with a bit more space at the bottom and apply to the velvet on the front of the card.

The Santa Oval Image needed some grounding.... So, I used W1 and W3 to color in a floor and shadow of Santa's boots and chair. I used Y21, Y00 to fade out the wall behind Santa towards the edge.

Set the sentiment and Santa on a coffee filter. Using Nuvo Glue Pen edge the sentiment and the Santa Oval. Let the glue get tacky. Using a stipple brush, apply Nuvo Gilding Flakes Radiant Gold to the tacky glue. Brush off the excess and pour back into the jar.

Apply Dimensional Glue to the front of the card in the holes of the Gold oval . Center the Santa oval in the Gold oval on the front of the card. (As Shown)

Apply 3M Foam Tape to the back of the Santa Bag and the Sentiment.

Apply the Santa bag in the lower right corner of the card front. Align with Santa's boots and chair cushion as shown.

Apply the sentiment to the lower left corner of the card front with a bit of the die cut overhanging to card edge as shown; and clip the excess off.
