Star Spangled Wreath Card 2
Hello Digi Divas! Welcome to Jan's Digi Blog. This is a set I am excited about, "Hooray for the Red, White and Blue". This card tutorial I have penned using my new Star Spangled Wreath Digi Set. With Memorial Day and the Fourth of July holidays rapidly approaching, I felt inspired to create a two cards using this beautiful patriotic stamp set! (Oooops! I forgot this wasn't posting in time for Memorial day!) My heart was in the right place.....;-/ Labor Day and Veteran's Day...

MATERIALS LIST: COPIC® MARKERS:
#3565J Star Spangled Wreath Stamp Set B12, B14, B16, B18, B39
Hammermill® 100lb. White Coverstock C0, C1, C3
American Crafts® 341323 Stars Card Stock R12, R14, R17, R29, R39
The Paper Studio® A beautiful World Pad Stripe YG61, YG63, YG67
Solid Core® Navy Card Stock- Scrap YR20, YR21, YR23, YR24
Studio G® Gold Glitter Glue
10"x12" White Cardstock for Card Base Sharpie® X-tra Fine Point - Brown
Deco Gold® Foil
Aztec® Gold Glitter
Tear-ific® Tape
Dimensional® Glue

Size the Star Spangled Wreath to 4-1/4"x5". Print twice on one sheet and color as desired. I used Copic® Markers. Set one image to the side for future use.
I used B39 to give the blue depth. Used R14 for the berries and YG61, YG63 & YG67 for the leaves. Sharpie® X-tra Fine point Brown to shade the branches.

Use R12, R14, R17, R29 and R39 to color the Flag and Small Star. Use CO, C1, and C3 for the white stripes of the flag and partial star. Use YR20, YR21, YR23 and YR24 to color the floating stars and large star. The bow can be colored as desired. I colored
one as Burlap. This bow I chose to use B12, B14,
B16 and B18.

Using Glitter Glue® I placed dots of glitter glue in random stars around the wreath. Using a pointed tool, pulled the glitter glue out into the points of the stars. As shown.
Let Dry.
Using a straight edge I ripped a raw edge rectangle of the image.

Score & Fold the 10"x12" White Cardstock for Card Base at 5" along the 10" side. Turn the card Stock 90* and score and fold at the 7" mark.
Cut at an angle from upper left corner to the center.
Cut from the center to the bottom center line as shown. Cut at angle from the far right center fold to bottom center as shown.

Flip cardbase, adhere 1/4" Tear-ific® Tape along both diagonal edges as shown. Place on a coffee filter, apply Aztec Gold Glitter and rub in using your handy-dandy finger tool. Tap excess on to coffee filter and dump back into jar.
Cut a 4-3/4" square of The Paper Studio® A beautiful World Pad® Stripe and cut again from corner to corner. Adhere along glitter strip on bottom flap as shown. Cut a 4-3/4"x6-3/4" rectangle of American Crafts® 341323 Stars Card Stock and cut again from corner to corner. Adhere along the glitter strip of the upper left flap.

Cut a 2"x7" rectangle and adhere to the card interior along far right edge as shown.
OPTIONAL: I stitched around the edges of the image using Navy thread.

Adhere the image to the upper flap about 1/2" from the top edge and about 3/8" from the left fold.
Apply three (3) dots of Studio G Glitter Glue in a line in the lower right corner. Let Dry.

Print your sentiment on a Laser printer,
using a straight edge rip around the sentiment. Apply Deco® Foil and send through M-inc®. Heat machine or laminator.
Adhere the sentiment to the lower flap as shown.
Adhere the extra triangles to the flaps on the interior of card.
OPTIONAL: Adhere scraps of the patterned paper and a name plaque on the backside of the card.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial. I know I did. I am proud to be an American, God Bless!
