Starry, Starry Noel Card

Welcome Divas- thanks for stopping by! Like many of you (I presume), I am now hip deep in trying to get my Christmas cards finished. I have a starry, starry image in my NOEL Digital Stamp Set that inspired me to create this beautiful card. Come along as together we walk through each step of this starry holiday greeting.

Suggested card size - 5"x7"

MATERIALS LIST: COPIC® MARKERS:

5075J-NOEL Digital Stamp Set B60, B63 - Sky

Hammermill® 100lb. White Coverstock Y-21, YR21, YR23, YR24 - Stars

DCWV® Luna pad YG61, YG63 - Leaves

The Paper Studio® Gold Foil Cardstock Olive Multiliner - Twigs

5"x7" Cardbase

WeR® Crop-a-Dile Corner Chomper

The Paper Studio® -Tiny Starsy Embossing Folder

Carpenter Hammer

VersaMagic® - Aegean Blue

VersaMagic® -Spring Pansy

Gold Baker's Twine

Beary Art® Precision Glue

EZ_Tear® Tape

X-Tra Fine Sharpie ®- Yellow (vine)

X-Tra Fine Sharpie® - Red (berries)

To start this magical creation you will need my 5075J-NOEL Digital Stamp Set. I drew an imaginary rectangle 4"x6" on one half of the page. Using the star cluster, I sized the cluster 2-1/2"x3", copied, pasted and mirror reversed. Places one in upper right corner and the others in the left lower corner as shown. I sized a sentiment to 2-1/4" and placed it above the left star cluster as shown.

Printed on Hammermill® 100lb. White Coverstock.

Color as desired. I chose to use Copic markers and X-tra Fine Sharpies for fine details.

A full list of markers is listed above.

Cut a 4-1/4"x6" rectangle of the images as shown. Using the 1/2" rounded corner of the WeR® Crop-a-Dile Corner Chomper on all corners.

Here I will surprise you with what is next. Position the images in the The Paper Studio® -Tiny Starsy Embossing Folder. (I found if you slightly moisten the backside where you are wanting to emboss, before placing in the embossing folder makes for better indentions.) Instead of using a Big Shot, you will be using a carpenter's hammer. Hammer only the areas you would like the tiny stars. Hammer around the outside of the images as shown. Let Dry.

Cut a 4-1/2"x6-1/4" rectangle of the The Paper Studio® Gold Foil Cardstock and round the corners using WeR® Crop-a-Dile Corner Chomper.

Edge the image using both VersaMagic® - Aegean Blue & VersaMagic® -Spring Pansy.

Use the Pansy first and then the Aegean.

Center and adhere to the Paper Studio® Gold Foil Cardstock.

Cut a 5"x7" rectangle and center and adhere the image panel to the DCWV® Luna, round the corners using WeR® Crop-a-Dile Corner Chomper.

Adhere the card front panel to the 5"x7" cardbase, round the corners using WeR® Crop-a-Dile Corner Chomper.

Wrap about 32" of Gold Baker's Twine 2x around the spine / fold of the card and knot on the outside of the cardbase as shown.

I like to add an OPTIONAL piece to my cards for that extra personal touch. Using leftover strips of cardstock from making the card, I add a name plaque and any leftover image parts. Arrange and adhere to the backside of the card as shown.
