Today, I am playing and using supplies that
have been in my stash for years. I thought to
try a bit a watercolor with pearlescent paint in the
lower left hand corner with 2 shades of green.
Needing more variation in color I used a couple of
green watercolor pens. I have not watercolored
since I was a kid.

I then added droplets of pink pearlescent and
allowed to soak into the paper. I then used a water
color pen in fuchsia to accent the flower blooms.
Let dry.

I then cut the paper to 4-1/2" x 6-1/2" as
shown.
I then used the 2 silhouette butterflies from
the Firefly stamp & cut set and randomly stamped
them across the page, corner to corner in
Memento - Angel Pink. Sponge some of the Angel
Pink around the 2 white areas.

Then sponge some Memento - Pear Tart
around the edges with the greenery as shown.
I then sponged a bit of the pearlescent pink
around the pink sponged area to give is a bit of
shimmer.

Using both the Firefly Butterfly die and the
Crafter's Companion Butterfly Die, I cut one of each
of DCWV Pink Pearlescent paper as shown.
On the Pink Lace Vellum I traced around the
wings of the butterfly dies and fussy cut. Apply
a small amount of Dimensional glue to the
backside of the butterfly body and adhere to the
vellum. Let Dry. Fold the wings up.

Cut the leftover Mixed Media paper to 4-3/4"x6-3/4"
and Cut the DCWV Pearlescent Pink to 5"x7".
Watercolor the edges of the Mixed Media with
Pearlescent Pink about 3/4" in as shown and let dry.
While drying, Use the Nesting Vintage Torn
Rectangle die to trim the edges of the image piece.
it will take 4 tries, be careful not to roll tooo far in
the Big Shot. Repeat 4 x in order to cut all 4 sides.

Using Tear-ific Tape adhere the Mixed Media
Pearlescent piece centered on the DCWV Pink
Pearlescent 5"x7" piece.
Using 3M Foam Tape adhere the Vintage Torn
Edge centered on the Mixed Media/Pearlescent
piece.
Using the sentiment from the Dahlia set I
stamped on the scraps of mixed media paper with
Memento Lilac Posies and cut out with the
scalloped pierced rectangle.

Using 3M Foam tape adhere the sentiment
on the lower left-hand corner about 5/8" from the
bottom and left side as shown.
Then position the 2 Vellum butterflies on the
front as desired. Then adhere with a touch of
dimensional glue to just the body part. Let dry.

It has a nice shimmer, but needed a touch of
glitz! So, adhered a few random iridescent sequins
to the front.
Applied Nuvo Glitter Drops-Morning Dew to the
bodies of the butterflies. Let Dry.
Using 1/4" Tear-ific Tape adhere the card front
to a 5"x7" white card base.

Just enough shimmer and shine like the rarest of women... I will use this card to send a donation to the Turner Syndrome Foundation for the sale of my TSF Key stamp set #3220J . Stop by their Awareness Blog Hop!
THANK YOU for stopping by today and coming along on my play day!
