Hello Digi Divas! Thanks for stopping by today. I am excited to share with you a bit of a time gone by. This is a set dedicated to my youngest brother and his childhood buddy "Sparky" as they head to the local fishing hole. I created this card using my new The Good Life Digi Set -perfect for that special fella in your life. Grab a cool shady spot, a cold summer drink and let's create this nostalgic card. Here we go!

VersaMagic® Jumbo Java E74, E79, E81, E84 - Tree Trunk

To get started I sized my main image to
2-3/4"x5" and placed center on one half sheet. Added a sentiment towards the top edge. Print on Hammermill® 100lb. White Coverstock.
Color as desired, I used Copic® Markers and a list of colors are listed above.
Once I colored the Main image, I cut around the top portion of the fishing pole to slide the largest Tonic Essentials® Oval Die under as shown.
I then decided to add a simple scene around the image. So I secured the die in place to enable me to color within the die.
Using E30 I filled in a ground level and added some E33 to the ground.
Using B000, I used a flicking motion from the die towards the image as shown.
Using W3, I sketched in a tree trunk and a few branches. Used W5, E44 & E47 to shade the trunk. I used W3 to shadow.
Using YG91, YG95 & YG97 randomly to put leaves on the tree as shown.
Run through the Big Shot® to cut out.
Cut a 5"x7" rectangle of Sage Solid Core Cardstock.
Cut a 4-3/4" x 6-3/4" rectangle of Recollections® Corrugate Craft Cardstock with the lines running up & down.
Using VersaMagic® Jumbo Java I edged the edges and an oval in the center of the Recollections® Corrugate Craft Cardstock as shown.
I used E35 to shade in the valleys of the corrugate.
Using Dimensional® Glue I adhered the oval image in the shaded oval of the Recollections Corrugate Craft Cardstock as shown.
Using Tear-ific® Tape to adhere the Recollections® Corrugate Craft Cardstock to the 5"x7" Sage Solid Core Cardstock centered.
Using a pointed tool, punch a hole to attach a brad and charm in the upper left of card front and repeat in the lower right of card front.
Adhere the card front to a 5"x7" cardbase with the fold on the left using Tear-ific® Tape.
OPTIONAL: I adhered a couple of scrap craft, Sage and a name plaque.
