WILD FLOWER BLOSSOMS- New Cards!

Hello Digi Divas! Thanks for stopping by to see what's new here at Jan's Digi Stamp Shop.

Today I have a new stamp set called Wild Flower Blossoms inspired by some beautiful wild flowers I saw growing along the roadside here in Pensacola. Come along while I share with you my creation with Wild Flower Blossoms.

Suggested card size: 5"x7"

I sized my main image 2-1/2"x5-1/4" and placed about 2-3/4" from the right side of a landscape 8.5"x11" layout. I sized the stem 1-1/2"x2-1/4" and stacked at the bottom of the main image. Sized the sentiment 3/4"x2-1/2" and placed about 1/2" from the top. Printed on Hammermill® 100 lb. White Coverstock.

I colored my images with COPIC® markers:

MATERIALS LIST:

Hammermill® 100 Lb. White Coverstock COPIC® MARKERS:

1-1/2" Tear-ific® Tape R00

Purple Potion® Glitter V01, V04, V06

10 Purple small Rhinestones B00

2- sizes of mesh pearls BG53, BG57

Purple® reactive foil G12, G14, G17, G85

Nesting rectangle dies Y21,

1/4" purple Offray® Satin Ribbon YR23, YR27

Foam Tape C1, C3

Dimensional Glue

Spellbinder's® Iron work Accents - (I modified it by filing the back edge off to just make a decorative edge)

I cut the main image to 7"x8-3/4" from the right side, Score at 5" from the left side and fold. I used my modified Ironwork Die on the main image edge (Front of card). Run through the Big Shot. I applied 1-1/2" Tear-ific® Tape on the inside edge. Placed on a coffee filter and peeled the protective off and applied Purple Potion® Glitter. Burnish in and empty the excess of into the coffee filter and back in jar.

I then used a single string of the larger pearls and glued to the front edge along the die cut as shown. I cut 9 of the pearls apart and glued to the outer point of the die cut. I then cut 20 of the small pearls apart and glued them to each point of the die cut. I then set a purple rhinestone in the center of each Die cut design as shown.

I used a nesting rectangle die to cut out

the sentiment, run through the Big Shot.

Applied Purple® reactive foil on top the sentiment and run through Minc® laminator,

I then applied 1-1/2" Tear-ific® Tape to a scrap of white coverstock, placed on coffee filter, peeled protective, applied Purple Potion® Glitter, burnish in, dump excess off into the coffee filter and then jar. Using the next size up of the nesting rectangle dies and run through Big Shot®. Applied Foam tape to the back side of the sentiment and adhere centered on the Glitter rectangle. Then adhered to the front of the card about 1/4" from the fold and the bottom of card.

I then used an Xacto® Knife to cut about 1/4" slit on each side of the bottle neck and thread the 1/4" purple ribbon through and knot.

OPTIONAL: I applied dimensional glue on the backside of the die cut edge and let dry overnight for stability to the delicate design.

I chose to make a second card using some of the embellishment images from "Wild Flower Blossoms". This stamp set has four additional images that could also be used as main images or embellishments. Time to have a little additional FUN!

I made a rectangle 4-3/4"x6-3/4" and

sized the (2) two corner images 1-3/4"x1-3/4" placing one in the upper left hand corner about 1/3" from top and fold side and the same in the lower right hand corner. I then sized the 3 flower image to 3"x5" and placed outside the rectangle. Sized the sentiment to 1-3/4" and printed on Hammer Mill® 100 Lb. Coverstock.

Suggested card size: 5"x7"

MATERIALS LIST:

Hammermill® 100 Lb. White Coverstock COPIC® MARKERS:

1/4" Tear-ific® Tape R00

Small Mesh Pearls V01, V04, V06

Nesting Tag Dies C1, C3

Nesting Tag Dies with stitching YR23, YR27

Nesting Oval Dies G12, G14, G17, G85

Dimensional Glue Y21,

Foam Tape

Dimensional Glue

Gold Gel Glitter Pen

Pinkish Lavender® Solid Core Cardstock

I colored my images with COPIC® makers:

I cut the rectangle 4-3/4"x6-3/4" and centered a 3-1/4" oval between the corner images and ran through the Big Shot®. Then Cut the Pinkish Lavender® to 5"x7" and center the rectangle with the oval. Then center the next oval down inside the oval and Washi Tape® in place. Run the Pinkish Lavender® through the Big Shot®.

I then used the larger oval as a pattern and centered over the three flower image and traced around the outside of the die. Fussy cut the oval out and placed behind the Pinkish Lavender® oval and marked lightly with a lead pencil where the flowers were covered by the oval. I then fussy cut those petals within the snips so they will over lap the pinkish lavender as shown and adhered the balance of the oval to the back side of the Pinkish Lavender®.

I trimmed four (4) single strands of the small pearl mesh. Using dimensional glue I adhered pearls around the oval and around the white outer edge around the card front as shown.

I then applied a Gold Gel Glitter pen to the center of the flowers.

I cut a flag tag die of the Pinkish Lavender and the sentiment with the Stitched flag tag die. Centered the sentiment on the pinkish Lavender and adhered. Adhered the sentiment to the card front with foam tape as shown.

Adhered the card front to a 5"x7" card base with the fold on the left side.
