BRIGHTEN THE HOLIDAYS

Hello Digi Diva's!

I apologize for my absence of late. I have been working hard on designing you some NEW releases for January. We also celebrated our 44th Anniversary! I am so proud of my Hubby.... I have to share.... He tried his hand at card making! Using my NEW release.... "Puttin' on the Ritz!" #3225J.

I love that he has exhibited interest in my hobby! He is an

exceptional partner.

Plus, trying to finish my Christmas cards.... I know, I should

have started sooner.

Today, I would like to share with you "Brighten the

Holidays - 663J", one of the last cards I have to go... The

penguins "Frick n' Frack" are at it again! They seem to always

get their tinsel tangled! Come along if you are still making

your cards as I...

BRIGHTEN THE HOLIDAYS MATERIALS LIST:

12"x12" White 100lb. Cardstock B00, B01, B02

AstroBrights Red Cardstock N1, N3, N5, N7

Decorative Lights Stock (from my stash) R14, R17, R29, R59

Memento Bahama Blue Ink Pad G02, G05, G09

Tear-ific Tape C1, C3, C5

My Little Christmas - Plastic Lights

Nail File

Misc. Greenery (from my stash)

I started by sizing my images. The penguins

were sized 3-1/2" x 2-3/4" and the sentiment

2" x 3-1/2" and printed on Hammermill 100lb.

White Coverstock as shown.

Color as desired. I used Copic Markers, shown

on the right.

I cut all my pieces up front:

Cut one 5"x12" White 100lb. cardstock.

Cut one 4"x4" Red Cardstock

Cut one 5-1/4"x4-3/4" Red Cardstock

Cut one 2-1/4"x4-3/4" Red Cardstock

Cut one 2-1/2"x4" Red Cardstock

Cut one 3-3/4"x4-3/4" Red Cardstock

Cut Penguins 3-1/2"x3-1/2" square

Cut sentiment 2"x3-1/2"

Cut one 5"x4-1/2" Lights and one 3-1/2"x4-1/2" Lights

The White 5"x12" piece is scored and accordion

folded at 5-1/2" and at 8".

I moved the lights on the string a bit closer

together. Then filed one side of each light flat

to enable gluing and easier mailing!

Apply Memento Bahama Blue Ink to

the edges of the sentiment and the penguins,

as shown.

Start assembling panels using Tear-ific Tape:

Lights 5"x4-1/2" on Red 4-3/4"x5-1/4" apply to

back panel. Lights 3-1/2"x4-1/2" on Red

3-3/4"x4-3/4". Apply to the front panel. Apply

the 2-1/4"x4-3/4" Red to the center panel.

Adhere the penguins to the Red 4"x4" and the

sentiment to the Red 2-1/2"x4".

On the back side of the Penguin image apply

tear-ific tape to only ONE HALF... Double check

it is on the back of Frick (NO ear Muffs).

Center the Penguin image on the card folded

shut and adhere, as shown.

Apply tear-ific Tape to the back side of the

sentiment panel as shown.

Align the sentiment on the back panel with the

penguin image on the front panel as shown.

Card should look like this.....

Adhere the Light Bulbs and Misc. Greenery

branches in the upper left corner of the card front

as shown.

Optional: Apply Nuvo Glitter Drops to the light

bulbs on the string of lights Frick n' Frack are

holding! LET DRY!
