COTTONTAIL EASTER
Updated: Feb 22, 2020
Good Day Digi Divas! Today I would like to alleviate a bit of our winter blues and cabin fever-
in anticipation of spring! I just released a NEW SET for Easter- Cottontail Easter 3245J Digital Stamp Set. This set has 16 Images total in black & white, hand colored, and matching sentiments to create a really cute card for Easter. This post is a short tutorial on making this card.

Coffee Filter
(6) Studio G - white pearls
Tear-ific Tape
3M Foam Tape
Dimensional Glue
Suggested card size is 4"x9-1/4" (#10)

Size one of each egg to approx. 1-1/2"x2-1/8"
and place in each 1/4 of the page as shown. Print
twice on Hammermill 100 lb. white coverstock.
Size on rabbit to approx. 3"x 5-1/4" and place on
half the page. Print on Hammermill 100 lb. white
coverstock. Set to side.

Color as desired. I used Copic Markers, list of
colors above.

Cut the page into quarters. Position the
scalloped rectangle die over each of the eggs as
shown and run through the Big Shot.

Select a background paper.... I chose Recollections
Pink Plaid. Cut to 3-3/4"x 9". I then went through my scrap pile and chose colors that coordinated with the plaid paper. Cut the DCWV Double Sided cardstock in
pink to 4"x9-1/4". Applied the Heartfelt Cut Mat Create 2A die on each of the scraps selected and run through the Big Shot as shown.

Fussy cut the second set of eggs as shown.

Using the Happy Easter Die, trace on the
backside of the DCWV Doublesided Cardstock
to create a shadow. Then fussy cut.
On a piece of Hammermill 100 lb. white
apply the Happy Easter Die and run through
the Big Shot.

Using Starfire Glitter and Dimensional glue
I applied to the fussy cut eggs and placed in the
coffee filter. Applied glue to the Happy Easter
and Starfire glitter on coffee filter. Dump excess
onto coffee filter and put back in the jar. Let Dry.

Apply Tear-ific tape to the backside of each
of the pieces except the fussy cuts.

Center the Recollections Pink Plaid on the
DCWV Doublesided Pink and adhere. Center the
Blue egg on the Blue square and adhere.
Center the Violet egg on the Violet square and
adhere. Center the Blue and Violet squares on
the plaid from side to side and 1/4" from the
bottom and top of the card front as shown.

Apply 3M Foam Tape to the backside of
the Fussy Cut pieces and adhere to the card
front; align each egg over each egg. Center
the Happy Easter sentiment between each
side and square for some dimension.

Adhere 3 white pearls in upper left hand
corner and again in the lower right hand corner
as shown.

Pull out the printed rabbit and color as desired.
I chose Copic Markers, list of colors above. Then
Fussy cut your rabbit image and set to side .
Select a sentiment, find the center of a 8-1/2"x
11" portrait sheet. I used Hippity Hoppity and tilted
about 1/2" from the top of the sheet and about 1/2"
from the center line (which will be your fold). I did
not want the bottom line to show so I drew a white
box tilted to cover. Placed a second sentiment with the bottom line at 6-1/2" from the top of the sheet. Again I drew a white box to cover the hippity hoppity part. (Do not exceed 3" on bottom line and place about 3/8" from the centerline.) Print on Hammermill 100 lb. White cover stock. Score and fold on the center line with the sentiment inside... Cut to 4"x 9-1/4" to make your card base. (Be sure your sentiment is still 1/2" from top and second line 6-1/2" from top)

Using the piece I trimmed off the bottom I cut to
1" strip I folded at 1", 2-1/2" & 3-1/4" and cut at 4".
Using a craft knife I cut around the bunny's
arms and slid the yellow egg under them.
Apply the Paws-itivity Pawsome grasses die to
some green scraps from my stash and ran
through the Big Shot. (Can be different shades.)
Adhere the 1" tab of the 1" strip 4" from the top of the left hand flap and 3/4" from the fold. Adhere the 3/4" tab of the strip 4" from the top of the right hand flap 1-1/2" from the fold. Adhere 2" of grass on the bottom of the strip on the left Flap as shown. Adhere on strip of grass just below the strip centered between the fold and edge as shown. Adhere the rabbit to the strip and about 1-1/2" of grass at the rabbit's foot as shown.

Adhere the card front to the card base!
Wasn't That FUN? HAPPY EASTER!
Thank you for coming along with me on
today's escape from the winter blues.
Keep on CRAFTING!
