The Aviator Card

Welcome Digi Divas! I am so glad you stopped by and sharing a part of your day with me. Today the warm weather is here and our fur buddy is ready for some sunshine, wind in his hair and some flying lessons. Our intrepid aviator has his goggles on and ready for take-off! I created this adorable birthday card with my NEW Digi Set The Aviator for my brother Jeff. Are you ready to be his copilot? Here we go...

Suggested card size: 7" x 5"

MATERIALS LIST: COPIC® MARKERS:

#3550J - The Aviator Digi Stamp Set B00, B01, B02

Hammermill® 100lb. White Coverstock BG000, BG01, BG02, BG05

American Crafts®- Modern Industrial Pad E07, E11, E13, E15, E17

Teal Solid Core Cardstock N1, N3, N4, N5, N7, N8, N9

Gears - Stash embellishments R17, R29

Nuvo® Crystal Glaze W1, W3

Inguild Bolme®-Teal Damask

Happy Birthday Die

Elizabeth Crafts®-Fitted Oval Dies

5"x7" Cardbase

Dimensional® Glue

Foam® Tape

Tear-ific® Tape

To start this high flying adventure, I sized the main image to 5" x3-1/2", copied and pasted. Each on one half and printed on Hammermill® 100lb. White Coverstock.

Color as desired. I chose to use Copic® Markers to color mine and the list of colors is listed above.

I used random shades of browns and grays to make ground cover.

(FYI-I also did not complete total detail on truck with the ground knowing that I am going to stack the images.)

Using the largest Elizabeth Crafts®-Fitted Oval Die

I cut out the Image with the ground cover.

Fussy cut the second image.

Edge the oval image using Inguild Bolme®-Teal Damask.

Using Foam Tape® align and adhere the fussy cut image over the oval image.

Cut a 5"x7" rectangle of the Teal Solid Core Cardstock.

Cut a 4-3/4"x6-3/4" rectangle of the American Crafts®- Modern Industrial Pad destressed blue metal page.

Edge using Inguild Bolme®-Teal Damask.

Apply Foam Tape® to the backside of the oval.

Apply Nuvo® Crystal Glaze to the truck windows,

tail lights and dog's goggles for that shine. Let dry!

Adhere the oval centered in the rectangle card front as shown.

Using Dimensional® Glue adhere random sizes of gears from my stash as shown.

Adhere card front to a 5"x7" cardbase.

Cut Happy Birthday sentiment using a die. Adhere to front of card as shown.

OPTIONAL: Using scraps and a name plaque arrange on the backside of the card.

What a cute Birthday Card for the dog lover in your life!
