Hello Digi Divas everywhere! Thank you for stopping by. I would like to introduce you to my NEW Digi Stamp Set- Up-UP-AWAY! I have TWO fabulous card tutorials for you. This design lends itself to numerous applications- limited only by your imagination! I have a Birthday Card and a Thank You Card to show you today.
First Card - suggested size 5"x7"
Draw a 5"x7" rectangle as a guide and place on the right side of the page as shown.
Draw a Balloon image 3-1/2"x5" and center in the rectangle. Copy and paste on the left side of the page.
Draw the Birthday Cloud to 2-1/4" and draw the Thank you cloud to
2-1/2". Place to the left of the rectangle and Print on Hammermill® 100lb. White Coverstock.
Color as desired, I used COPIC® Markers on
the originals, but used colored images for
this application.
Using an X-acto® Knife, cut along the ropes
as shown.
Fussy cut the balance of the balloon and the two (2) clouds.
Using Dimensional® Glue, adhere the satin ribbon roses along the sash as shown. I used binder clips to hold in place while they dried.
While the glue is drying, I airbrushed clouds in the background of the balloon in the rectangle. (You can also smudge in clouds.)
Using the largest of the Torn Edge® Nesting
Oval Dies cut out the balloon from the rectangle.
Edge the image oval using VersaMagic® Aegean Blue as shown.
Cut the Baby Blue cardstock to 5"x7" and edge with VersaMagic Aegean Blue..
Cut the pale Blue to 5"x7" and tear into an oval
leaving about 1/4" around the balloon image.
Center and adhere the Pale blue torn oval to the Baby Blue 5"x7" rectangle with Tear-ific® Tape.
Center and adhere the balloon image to the Pale Blue torn oval using Foam Tape.
Cut some leafy vine from Sage Green cardstock. Adhere to the basket of the balloon using Dimensional® Glue.
Using Dimensional® Glue, arrange and adhere the ready made roses to the basket of the balloon as shown.
Adhere your sentiment as shown.
Using Nuvo® Glitter Drops - White Blizzard edge the petals of the roses in the balloon basket as shown. Let dry.
Using Nuvo® Crystal Drops - Ivory Seashell apply (3) three dots descending in size as shown. Let dry.
Isn't this a beautiful and fun card to give to that special someone? Imagine- Mother's Day, a Baby Shower, Thank you , Missing you, Thinking of you... The possibilities are endless!
OK! Now I would like to share a second card with you. This is a brief tutorial.
Second Card - suggested size 5"x7"

1/8" Yellow Satin Ribbon (1yd.) RV00, RV02, RV32

Nuvo® Crystal Drops - Morning Dew Copic Multi Liner - Sepia

Repeat the first 4 steps of the first card except that this balloon has the handsome little pilot in the basket.
Using the Lace Edge® Nesting Rectangle Dies (largest) center the upper balloon image in the die opening about 1/4" from the top. Run ONLY HALF through the Big Shot®. Re-align the die for the bottom portion, washi-tape the die into place and run bottom potion ONLY HALF through the Big Shot® .
Cut the Fluorescent Violet cardstock to 5"x7" rectangle. Cut the Lime Green cardstock to
4-3/4" x 6-3/4" rectangle. Cut the Bright Blue cardstock to 4-1/2"x6-1/2" rectangle. Using Tear-ific® Tape adhere the Bright Blue centered on the Lime green. Center and adhere the Lime green on the Fluorescent Violet using Tear-ific® Tape. Adhere to your 5"x7" cardbase.
I airbrushed clouds in the background of the lace edge image (you can also smudge in clouds). Using the 1/8" yellow ribbon about midway on the right side weave the ribbon in and out the holes around the edge. Tie in a bow when they meet. Using foam tape adhere and center on the card base.
Fussy cut you sentiment and edge using VersaMagic® Aegean Blue. Using Foam Tape adhere your sentiment to the lower left corner of the lace edge image as shown. Optional - apply Nuvo® Crystal Drops to the pilot's googles. Let dry.
