Hello Digi Divas! Thank you for stopping by today. I'm knee (maybe hip) deep in glue and glitter making my Christmas Cards. It seems I always manage to start LATE- Ha! I drew and colored the Ornaments-FREE Set to use for a quick card that is quick and easy to make (I have a LOT of cards to send).
Would you like to add this set to your Christmas Digi Files? I am giving this Christmas Gift to you, FREE! It's my way of saying THANK YOU for being my Digi Divas and supporting me this year. You can go to my shop at www.janmahew.com (or click on this link) and download yours TODAY! The Zip File contains the b/w and colored versions of the image. This gift offer ends on Christmas Day!
I am dedicating this card to my old friends the Glitter Groupies: Margaret, Donna, Ann, Jess, Demo Donna, Angie, Leslie, Eret, Lynn, Shona.... You know who you are! So get out your "handy dandy finger tool" and come along!
Suggested card size: 5"x7"
Ornaments Image - FREE COPIC® MARKERS:
Hammermill® 100lb. White Coverstock G02, G05, G07, G09, G85
Dimensional® Glue R12, R14, R17, R29, R89
1/8" Tear-ific® Tape Y00, YR21, YR23, YR24
1/4" Tear-ific® Tape N2
Flesh® Glitter (Gold)
Silver Dreams® Glitter (Silver)
This will be a quick and pretty card. I drew 2 rectangles 5"x7" stacked to help me visualize my cardbase. I sized my image to 6"x2-3/4" and centered in the lower rectangle. Delete the rectangles. Print on Hammermill® 100lb. White Coverstock. Score and fold at the 5-1/2" score line. Cut the folded base to 5"x7". Color as desired. I used Copic® Markers and the list of colors are listed above.
I used Dimensional® Glue to draw the designs on the ornaments. Where the design was really tight I used a needle
point to maneuver small amounts of glue
from dots of glue as shown. Do only one ornament at a time. Placed on a coffee filter
and dump your Silver Dreams® Glitter onto ornament and tap the excess off onto the coffee filter and dump back into jar. Let Dry.
Repeat for the second ornament. I used Flesh® (Gold) Glitter for my second ornament.
Let Dry. I used N2 to make shadow under the ornaments and ribbon.
I then applied 1/4" Tear-ific® Tape along the outer edges as shown. Then applied 1/8" Tear-ific® Tape about 1/8" in from the 1/4" tape as shown. Place on a coffee filter. PEEL only one size tape at a time. I did the 1/4" tape in Flesh® (Gold) Glitter rubbing in well with my handy dandy finger tool.
I then peeled the 1/8" tape, dumped my Silver Dreams® Glitter and rubbed in with my finger tool again. Tapping the excess onto my coffee filter and empty into jar.
You can add a sentiment if you wish. You have a great CAS creation ready to send to your loved ones. Wasn't that Quick, Easy, and FUN?
Thank you Digi Divas and Glitter Groupies for stopping by today! Wishing you a blessed and joyous Holiday Season!
Hugs and Glitter On!
